gave blood

In a back room about to give my blood
Rushing thoughts and liquid
Who will this help? Will this save?
The floor is wood and this room is uninviting
After today maybe the fear will be gone
Machines sucking life from the arms of volunteers
Life stored in bins stacked upon each other
My name is called and another breath escapes my lungs
Tall tan walls with metal lining. Survey done, now just waiting
To grasp the rubber in my fist.
If she could do this I should at least try
Cardboard boxes and cell phones in their hands
Life in our arms, blood from our veins
Tube goes out, down, and to the bag
The red runs around and i feel warmth on my skin
Almost didnt make it but its all done now
Towel on my head as the needle comes out

dude this would be such an awesome random song...just make it a melody and sing it straight through... the idea reminds me of The Format- A Save Situation
